Back End Web Developer
Role: Full-time position
Who We Are: Piquant is a full-service creative agency based in Limerick city. We design and build human centred websites for a diverse range of clients. We prototype, design, build and deploy digital projects that are bespoke to our customers’ needs and always to the highest standards.
We are looking for an experienced Back End Web Developer to join our team.
Requirements:
- Experience developing with PHP
- Experience with Drupal and/or WordPress
- Experience with Linux
- Experience serving as a developer for an agency
- Strong organization, project management, and client relationship-building skills
- Technology expertise with insights about technology trends and solutions
- Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts and challenges for non-technical and client audiences
- Outstanding communication skills are required – primarily the ability to communicate ideas
- Degree or higher in computer science or a similar discipline
Job Description: Piquant is looking for an experienced Back End Web Developer with experience in the development of functional websites from design through to sign-off. The successful candidate will have a passion for delivering rich projects through lean code.
You will be responsible for all back-end development tasks from design through to testing.
We develop primarily in Drupal so any knowledge of working in this environment would be very beneficial.
There will be opportunities within the role to work with a senior developer on large-scale Drupal projects.
The candidate must be based in the European Union and located within one hour of the Irish time zone.

Contract Duration: 1 year with initial 6 month probationary period
