Piquant Wins Design for Social at IDI Awards

Last week, our Director, Roisin Buckley and Head of Brand, Hugh Heffernan attended the IDI Awards on behalf of Piquant.

It was nothing but good news on the night as we are delighted to take home the Design for Social Award for our ‘You + IADT’ Campaign. Congratulations to all of our team members who contributed to this amazing campaign and thank you to IADT for giving us the opportunity to work on such a creative campaign

The Design for Social category included design work for social media, including individual posts and full campaigns. The jury were looking for design for social media that excels in concept, content, execution, accessibility and innovation.

The Institute of Art, Design + Technology Dún Laoghaire (IADT) is Ireland’s only institute of art, design and technology with a specific focus on the creative cultural and technological sectors. We worked with the IADT marketing and communications team to develop a campaign identity for undergraduate recruitment, and a promotional campaign for their CAO Open Day. The result was a successful campaign that achieved high visibility for IADT across multiple channels, resulted in the creation of a suite of social-first content, drove strong engagement across native and advertising channels, and led to a high attendance at the Open Day, making it their biggest Open Day yet.

The IDI 2023 Award winners exemplify the best of Irish design at the end of a challenging few years. Navigating a world in flux, economic and climate crisis, designers proved once again that creativity prevails.

The awards provide designers with a platform to showcase their talents, benchmark against their peers and provide inspiration for all. The breadth of projects truly shows the impact of Irish design on business, culture and creativity.
