This week, the winners of the international Shark Awards were announced, across the Advertising and Digital disciplines.
Three Piquant projects were awarded Gold, Silver and Bronze trophies.
In addition, the overall agency of the year winners were selected, with Piquant winning the coveted Irish Design Agency of the Year title.
In the Brand Identity category, Piquant’s work on the brand system for the newly formed Technological University of the Shannon was awarded Gold.
The Silver award went to our work on the rebrand of Wired 99.9FM, in the Logotypes & Marques category. Wired 99.9 FM is a Student Community of Interest Radio station with an active policy of facilitating access, communication, and participation.
Finally, we were awarded Bronze in the Editorial Design category, for the design of ‘100 Women of Limerick’ by Sharon Slater, for Ormston House. The book is a unique anthology that aims to celebrate Limerick women’s history.
From this year’s winners across advertising, design and film, a selection of ‘Big Winners’ were announced, with Piquant announced as the Irish Design Agency of the Year. Winning this title was a huge thrill and an unexpected honour.
Now in its 60th year, the Shark Awards celebrate Irish and International creativity whilst encouraging new fresh approaches to advertising and media. The Shark Head Trophy is awarded to outstanding work in the fields of Advertising & Advertising Craft, Design, Digital, Short Films & Music Videos.
The trophies will be officially presented in Brighton later this month, and we can’t wait to attend!
