The Green-Campus programme, managed by An Taisce, works to encourage practical environmental education and the empowerment of third-level institutions to become exemplars in environmental stewardship. Piquant developed a year-long social media marketing strategy for Green-Campus, including the development of monthly social media schedules and content creation, which the Green-Campus team can release across social media platforms.

CAMPAIGN STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT — An Taisce needed to establish a strategy for Green-Campus social media activity, and to start releasing original content on the Green-Campus social media channels in a streamlined and effective way. We developed a social media marketing strategy, designed to plan and coordinate a year-long social media activity plan promoting An Taisce’s Green-Campus programme. The strategy established the aims, targets, tone of voice and target audience, as well as outlining the strategic approach to each social platform, and a series of social media marketing initiatives to be carried out.
SOCIAL MEDIA SCHEDULE — Social media schedules are prepared each month, planning content for the Green-Campus team to post across Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts. Each month, we carry out research on social media trends, industry news and content from third-level institutions. From this research, and alongside the planned social media initiatives, we create detailed day-by-day social schedules, planning the post format, content, copy, release date, and detailed instructions for the Green-Campus team.
CONTENT CREATION — Each month, we create social media content in the form of images and graphics, sized for each social media platform. We needed to develop a solution that allowed us to create and repurpose content effectively and efficiently. We developed branded stamps that could be easily applied to content submissions and images, to brand content in one simple step.
