Badger & Dodo are an Irish Artisan Coffee Roaster based in Fermoy, Co. Cork. Roasting coffee since 2008, they were one of the first artisan roasteries on the scene. Roasting specialty coffee from around the globe, Badger & Dodo source the freshest coffee for their customers. Coupled with state of the art machinery, they supply countless cafes all over the island of Ireland. We were commissioned with developing a new brand identity and designing a new logo and packaging for Badger & Dodo, while also keeping the boutique coffee style in mind.

BRAND DEVELOPMENT — Working closely with Badger & Dodo, we mapped out how the overall look and presentation of the brand could be improved. We created a new logo and new packaging for a fresh and modern look. We wanted to design a timeless look for the brand that would age with them as they grew. While developing the brand we decided to keep crucial components of the already existing brand, such as the tree logo and the orange colour. We derived inspiration from nature when amplifying the logo, so ended up developing a timeless and elegant look for the brand.
PACKAGING — Badger & Dodo wanted a fresh look for their packaging, while also keeping their signature colour, so we created a supporting colour pallet that would compliment the bold orange that has become linked to their brand. The font and logo were created to be a simple and classic design. By gathering inspiration from the old brand identity, we created an elegant and recognisable logo. The graceful and delicate image of the tree expresses the down to earth nature of the brand. The new and seamless design that we created is a true reflection of Badger & Dodo’s essence.
