Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board Youth Work Plan 2018—2021

Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board (LCETB) is the state education and training authority for the Limerick and Clare region. In 2018, they launched their Youth Work strategic plan for 2018-2021, highlighting priority actions for the period. We were tasked with creating the editorial design for this document.

EDITORIAL DESIGN — The plan was developed in consultation with young people directly involved in youth projects, volunteer youth leaders active in their communities and youth work staff and management from various organisations. We worked on the graphic design, colour selection and editorial layout of the document. The final document included infographics, tables, full page images, and pull quotes from service users on standalone pages that highlighted the impact of the work done by LCETB.

As well as the full document, we also created an A5 summary booklet with highlights from the strategic plan, offering a quicker and simpler vehicle for communicating the key goals of the organisation.

Working within the Education Training Board brand guidelines we introduced an energy that was required for this project through the introduction of a complementary colour palette, fresh icon style and a clean and clear design style that was necessary to create an accessible document.

ICONOGRAPHY AND INFOGRAPHICS — We developed an iconography style that complimented the Education Training Board brand guidelines and created a suite of icons that represent the work of LCETB, as well as designing infographics to easily communicate statistics.
