Our Daily Bread are artisan bakers based in Limerick City, with a deep-rooted respect for their craft and a nose for experimentation. Travelling to markets across the Midwest, they offer classic staples and unexpected culinary delights to satiate their customers curiosity and appetite. We were tasked with developing a brand identity that could disrupt and engage with their audience online and in busy retail environments, while also demonstrating their values and ethos to baking.

BRAND DEVELOPMENT — We developed a lean, monochromatic brand system that would be easy to operate while retaining a sense of elegance and visual impact. The logo, a representation of a smiling sun, is a nod to a bakers early morning start. At its core, this is a premium brand that is serious about the art of baking.
BRAND ELEMENTS — In addition to a refined primary suite, this brand was developed to allow for tonal flexibility through the selective use of colour and playful language. This is best demonstrated in the wide range of illustrations created for the brand. These illustrations, rendered as stickers, are at times fun and frivolous, but can also be used to highlight specific offerings, and act as a novel way to convey the personality of the brand.
PHOTOGRAPHY — We developed a suite of studio photography that places emphasis on the variety of breads the bakers produce. The pared back approach highlights the batch characteristics, rich colours and individual textures of each loaf.
APPLICATION — In the lead up to the brand unveiling, we explored a variety of brand applications, from merchandise, uniforms, vehicle graphics and packaging. By primarily keeping to a monochromatic palette, the brand retains a premium quality. Through the intervention of colour, via illustrated stickers, we created disruptive moments in which the brand can demonstrate a fun side that reflects the personalities of the bakers and those tending the market stalls.
