Troy Studios, Ireland’s newest film production studios, is based in Castletroy, Limerick. We produced a series of 10 short videos showcasing the people who are working on Troy’s first major production: the international Netflix series, ‘Nightflyers’. The video series tells the stories of the people who work at Troy, from painters, to costume designers, to actors.

CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT — Our aim was to communicate the message that a state of the art film studios had come to Limerick, through the medium of the personal stories of those who are now working there. As well as this, we wanted to highlight the work these people were doing to develop local talent, provide training, and build a professional film studio from scratch.
VIDEO PRODUCTION — Each video in the series included an interview with a Troy Studios team member, where they shared their personal story and experience of working at Limerick’s international film studio. The videos documented each interviewee at work, and included a documentary video portrait showcasing the studio working environment.
IMPACT — The video series was released across social media by Troy Studios, receiving excellent traction and shares, and high viewing figures in the Limerick region and beyond. It was a wonderful experience to talk to the costume trainees, production assistants, model makers, production managers, construction supervisors and all the other people we met as part of this series. We spent time with each person as they went about their work and got an insight into the process and production of film making at this scale.
