“Cycles” is a design research project that explores the experiences of menstrual health from a social, personal, and environmental impact with the view to improving it for all future menstruators. The University of Limerick, the University Hospital Limerick, and the Open University are all involved in developing this initiative to make sure that their vision for a more sustainable and ethical menstrual future is achieved. Piquant produced a collection of videos showcasing the key aspects of the project’s vision, current targets, and future goals.
What we did:
- Motion Graphic Design
- Video Production
- Content Creation
VIDEO PRODUCTION — The videos were made to highlight the positive and real impact the Cycles project is having through researching and designing a more sustainable and ethical menstrual future. The videos combined interviews with key project members with footage of the project team which revealed the collaborative nature of the project. As the videos were used to present the project to potential funders, it was important to capture the facilities and management structure while also communicating the project aims and objectives.
MOTION GRAPHICS — Using the provided project identity, we animated specific areas of the Cycles project plan and vision. The engaging and visually explanatory motion graphics were threaded through the information heavy content resulting in an engaging yet informative production. The animated sequences also delivered stand alone motion content for release on social and digital platforms.
